The moment police appear, change direction aggressively. Early evasion is far easier than escaping a coordinated pursuit that has built momentum. React in the first 2 seconds, not after the police have closed in.
Use traffic as interference
Other vehicles on the road obstruct police pursuit lines. Weave through traffic to create barriers between you and pursuers — civilian vehicles slow police more than they slow you.
Upgrade speed first
